Ground Floor

Large open area with shuttered windows and door looking out over rolling countryside. Oak beamed ceilings offer light and space. The lounge is equipped with: leather sofa and easy chairs, TV with sky, DVD player, Hi-Fi, and board games. There is a dining table which easily seats six. It has access to the large terrace with panoramic views of the valley which is at the rear of the property. 


  • Kitchen  modern well equipped with beautiful granite island, electric ceramic hob, microwave, integrated dishwasher and fridge.
  • Main Bedroom  the bedroom has amazing views over the valley and has a king-sized bed. Its en-suite has a hand basin, WC, bidet and large bath.
  • House Bathroom  Comprising of WC, power shower, hand basin and washing machine.
First Floor 
  • Mezzanine Floor  a large open area with grand iron railings, over head oak beams giving property character and a rustic feel. 
    The
    area has a study desk, large sofa, ice hockey table, bookcases with numerous kinds of reading materials, the 3 bedrooms lead off a corridor from this floor.
  • Bedrooms 2 & 3  both comprising of 2 single beds each with velux window and blinds.
  • Bedroom 4  this bedroom is at the end of the corridor it has a double bed with attractive views over the countryside.
  • Shower room  state of the art shower with multidirectional massage jets complemented with a modern W.C. hand basin.
Outside
  • Garden  Le Torteau has a large (around 2 acres) pretty garden with a wealth of fruit trees some of which are very old.
    Guests have access to a large boules area and there
    are many seating areas in which to enjoy the garden, whether in the sun or shade. There is also a small potager (vegetable plot) from which guests are welcome to pick their own vegetables, herbs and fruit dependent on the season of their stay. There are many apple trees, cherry trees and a walnut tree from which guests can pick fruit.
  • Terrace  Walking out of the lounge onto the terrace, guests can enjoy endless views of the rolling countryside, a lovely place for breakfast, lunch or dinner, a suntrap and perfect position to watch the sunset. There are steps leading down from the terrace into the garden.
  • Car parking  Adjacent to the property within the gated garden is a graveled drive which can easily accommodate a number of cars.
